In ancient China, there were nine heroes: the Dragons. Each lead their respective clan, and competed with the others for supremacy. This competition escalated, eventually leading to the War of Nine Dragons. The war lasted for years. Alliances shifted frequently, and close friends one day might become bitter rivals the next.
The raging battle of the War of Nine Dragons eventually burned itself out, but the suffering it inflicted lingers on. Only six of the clans are known to have remained intact once the war ended, each resurfacing to seize power and influence in the wake of the war.
And so begins the next chapter, in the tale of the Nine Dragons…
